2A Prime is the domestically produced LPG conversion system brand developed by 2A Mühendislik through its own engineering and R&D work. We turned more than thirty years of field experience in autogas into a product line of our own design.
The brand consists of two products: 2A Prime DI for direct injection engines and 2A Prime MPI for multi point injection engines.
2A Prime is a complete LPG conversion system that works in parallel with the vehicle's petrol system. It consists of an electronic control unit, gas injectors, a vaporiser, a tank and connection equipment. After installation the vehicle becomes bi-fuel and can switch between petrol and LPG.
What sets the system apart from others is its control software. 2A Prime reads the data coming from the vehicle's own engine control unit and adjusts gas injection in real time. It works according to the engine's load, revs and temperature at that moment rather than a fixed table. The aim is for the driver to feel no difference between LPG and petrol.
We gather the whole product family under three headings.
Economical. The price per litre of LPG is noticeably below that of petrol. Because the engine consumes a somewhat greater volume in LPG mode, the saving does not equal the price difference directly, but the cost per kilometre stays below petrol. In vehicles with high annual mileage this difference becomes noticeable within a short time.
Ecological. LPG burns releasing less particulate matter and less carbon monoxide than petrol. Lower soot formation reduces both exhaust emissions and deposits inside the engine.
Technological. 2A Prime is designed to work in harmony with the vehicle's electronic architecture. It communicates over OBD, produces its own diagnostic data, and reports a problem in the system by pointing to the component concerned rather than giving a general warning.
The difference between the two products comes from the engine architecture they address. This is not a difference in quality but in compatibility.
| 2A Prime DI | 2A Prime MPI | |
|---|---|---|
| Engine type | Direct injection (sprayed into the combustion chamber) | Multi point injection (sprayed into the intake manifold) |
| Petrol injector protection | Controlled petrol flow and automatic cleaning | Not required |
| Key technology | IAS3 adaptation | AI assisted smart control |
| Typical vehicle profile | Recent years' turbocharged, small displacement DI engines | Naturally aspirated, turbocharged and conventional injection engines |
In direct injection engines petrol is sprayed at high pressure straight into the combustion chamber. In these engines the injectors sit inside the combustion chamber and are cooled by the petrol passing through them. When the system switches entirely to LPG this cooling disappears and the injectors can be damaged over time.
For this reason 2A Prime DI maintains a small flow of petrol in a controlled manner. This is where the real competition in the sector takes place: how little petrol can a system use to provide that protection? 2A Prime DI has been developed to operate with the lowest petrol consumption among comparable systems in the sector.

In multi point injection engines petrol is sprayed into the intake manifold and mixes with air before entering the cylinder. This architecture is naturally suited to LPG conversion; the gas is delivered to the same area through separate injectors working in parallel with the petrol injectors.
2A Prime MPI manages this architecture with an AI assisted control layer. The system optimises the mixture by evaluating driving data and adapts over time to how the vehicle is used.

The only determining factor is your vehicle's fuel injection type.
The engine code usually gives a sufficient clue. Designations such as TSI, FSI, TFSI, CGI, GDI and T-GDI mostly point to direct injection families. However, because versions with both direct and multi point injection can exist under the same make, a guess based on the engine code does not always give a definite result.
The most reliable route is to send us your vehicle's make, model, year and engine details. We will determine the right system and let you know.
2A Mühendislik has operated in the field of alternative fuel systems since 1995. Throughout that time we have worked both on autogas conversion systems and on fuel and LPG station equipment.
2A Prime is that accumulated experience turned into a brand of our own. The product was designed around the real problems we encountered in the field: consistent operation across different engine architectures, stability through changes in temperature and load, and clear diagnosis in the event of a fault. Being domestically produced also shortens both spare part access and technical support times.
In LPG conversion, installation quality is as decisive as product quality. The same system, when not calibrated correctly, comes back as high consumption or a loss of performance.
For this reason 2A Prime products are fitted only through a trained service network. Calibration after installation is carried out individually according to the character of the vehicle's engine; a standard setting is not applied to every vehicle. During installation the tank type and position are also determined according to the vehicle; the type that sits in the spare wheel well largely preserves boot space, while the cylindrical type can offer higher gas capacity.
After conversion, legal documents such as the installation inspection report and the gas leak test report are issued and the registration is updated. This process is subject to regulation and may change over time; you can confirm the current requirements with our service.

Whose product is 2A Prime?
2A Prime is 2A Mühendislik's own brand and the product of its own R&D work. It is not a distributorship of another brand or a relabelled version of one.
Is the difference between DI and MPI a difference in quality?
No. The two are designed for different engine architectures. If your vehicle is direct injection, DI is suitable; if it is multi point injection, MPI is. Making the wrong match creates problems regardless of how well the product performs.
How do I find out which one suits my vehicle?
Send us your vehicle's make, model, model year and engine details. We will determine the right system and let you know. Because guesses based on the engine code do not always give a definite result, we recommend not skipping this step.
Will there be a loss of performance after switching to LPG?
In a conversion carried out with a suitable system and the right calibration, no loss that the driver would notice occurs. 2A Prime systems aim for a driving feel close to petrol mode by managing the mixture according to the engine's immediate needs.
Does the system work the same way in all road and weather conditions?
2A Prime is designed to work consistently across different road, load and temperature conditions. In cold weather the vehicle runs on petrol until the engine reaches a certain temperature, then switches automatically to LPG. This transition requires no action from the driver.
How are spare parts and technical support provided?
Because the product is domestically produced, spare part supply and technical support run directly through us. This shortens waiting times compared with imported systems.
How long does installation take?
The time varies according to the vehicle and the tank type chosen. You can obtain the time specific to your vehicle from our authorised service before installation.
Is the vehicle's warranty affected after conversion?
This varies according to the vehicle's make and warranty terms; there is no single general answer. If your vehicle is under warranty we recommend speaking with your authorised dealer before conversion.
